Woman ‘posed as homeschooled teen to seduce and have sex with schoolboy’

A woman has been arrested after allegedly posing as a schoolgirl and messaging young boys on Snapchat before molesting one of them.

Alyssa Ann Zinger from Tampa, Florida, was arrested by local police on November 24 on two counts of lewd and lascivious battery, and five counts of lewd or lascivious molestation on a victim, who was 12 to 15 years old.

Alyssa pretended to be 14 on social media when she was really 22. She told her alleged victims she was not at a Florida school because she was learning at hom.

According to court records, she has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a child but police believe there could be others. The legal documents says she has waived her right to an arraignment and has pleaded not guilty to the charges. She paid a $7,500 bond on each charge and has now been released from jail, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

During investigations, cops allegedly found plenty of damning evidence against Zinger, including one teenage boy saying his alleged relationship with her went from May to September, and sex happened at least 30 times at his home. He also claimed Zinger told him she had been romping with other students aged between 12 and 15.

Explicit pictures and videos were also sent out to students by Zinger, cops claim. Her actions were all unravelled when she and a student were caught allegedly shoplifting at a department store and investigators were unable to match her name with the date of birth she gave.

Zinger even claimed the person in question was a half sister she made up to try and get her off the hook. This, however, did not work. Police compared her data to school and hospital records before they found out her identity.

Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw said in a statement to the news channel: “It is disturbing and unsettling to see an adult take advantage of a child and prey on them. Anyone who may have been a victim of Zinger’s, we encourage you to come forward. The Tampa Police Department will support you and ensure a predator like Zinger doesn’t cause you or others additional harm.”

The case is still under investigation and the police believe there were several other victims who attended the Wilson Middle School in Tampa’s Hyde Park neighbourhood, and have encouraged them to come forward to make a statement against Alyssa.
