Denver police are looking for a man accused of first-degree murder in connection to a shooting from earlier this month.

The Denver Police Department published a bulletin on social media asking members of the public to help investigators find the suspect 28-year-old Christopher Roel Hernandez related to a fatal shooting the night of Aug. 8 at West Cedar Avenue and South Federal Boulevard.

The shooting that left one man dead occurred outside at about 9:40 p.m. in the 200 block of South Federal Boulevard. It involved two people, but police declined to comment further on the circumstances surrounding the shooting, citing the ongoing investigation.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the victim as 46-year-old Jason Perry, a longtime DJ who was shot while working as a security guard at the Dandy Dan’s Gentleman’s Club.
