The family of ex-gangster Dave Courtney have called in ghost hunters after spooky goings on at his home.
The notorious hardman-turned-author, 64, was found dead at his house in Plumstead, South West London, on October 22. Dave, who was suffering from prostrate cancer and arthritis, died from a gunshot wound to the head after a day at the football with mates.
But according to pals, his family were left baffled after a psychic rang the house a few days after the former crime kingpin’s death. A source said: “A medium called the landline and said they had received a message from Dave from 'the other side'.

“They said Dave left personal notes for his all his family hidden in his books, as well as 'Whiskey for Brendon'."
Dave lived with his best pal and lodger Brendon McGirr at his £650,000 house, dubbed Camelot Castle due to its extravagant décor.
The house was decorated with Union Jack flags, a bust of the gangster, swords, fake guns and a jacuzzi. The source added: “Everyone was sceptical but they searched the bookshelves at his home.
“Incredibly the third book contained a letter from Dave addressed to his ex-wife. When they were tidying up, they noticed Dave’s shotgun by his armchair was inscripted with the word 'Whiskey'.
“It’s given them all a bit of a jolt so they called in ghost hunters to look into it.”
According to pals Dave, whose life is being turned into a movie with Tom Hardy in talks as the lead, was a big believer in the supernatural and the afterlife.
The source added: “If he did come back it wouldn’t surprise any of his mates. It would be such a comfort to everyone if he was contacting them from the other side. “
