British stag do trends have taken an alarming turn after the story of a woman performing oral sex on the wrong person during a prenuptial bash went viral.
The nation was left wide-eyed earlier this week by the unverified tale, told by someone several times removed from the person reportedly embroiled in the scandal. According to the recording, a particularly drunk hen do attendee decided to engage in the sex act with a mystery man through a glory hole – only to learn her own dad was on the other side.
The story has become so popular even online personality and boxer Elle Brooke weighed in on the matter, the Daily Star previously reported.

But it seems the national fascination with the story has had real-world consequences, with stag-do firmStagWeb.co.ukgathering data on changes to search patterns since the tale was posted to X (formerly Twitter). The company’s analysis found that, despite most being horrified by the story, the total amount of people searching for "Amsterdam stag do" has increased five times over in just a few days.
Even more astonishingly, the number of people searching "glory holes near me" has increased by a staggering 43%. A spokesperson for StagWeb said: "It’s funny. When you hear a story like that, you think it would deter people, but we’ve actually seen a spike in search for 'Amsterdam stag do' and, insanely, 'glory holes near me.'
"I don't think the people searching the latter properly understood the story because surely the voice note is enough to scar everyone who heard it for life. We've heard a few wild stories in the past, but this definitely tops the lot – whether it’s actually true remains to be seen."
In the horror voice note posted on Monday (October 23), the storyteller claimed the incident took place on a mixed stag and hen do. They could be heard saying: "One of the girls was super drunk and went into one of these booths with like a glory hole… Being drunk she thought it would be hilarious just to see who he was. So she pushes the button, looks up and it’s her dad on the other side."
The story continued: "The hen and the stag do all went home early because it was so traumatic." It added: "The girl’s fallen out with all her family, the mum’s obviously found out and is not speaking to the dad."
