A Russian state TV host has warned that the country could arm North Korea if South Korea sends weapons to Ukraine.
Tensions between South Korea and Russia have been brewing since President Yoon Suk-Yeol pledged to send $394 million (ยฃ312 million) worth of aid to Ukraine. The country also publicly condemned Russia for invading and placed sanctions on Moscow.
Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un met back in September and rumours have been circulating of a potential arms deal (something the Kremlin vehemently denies).

However, a recent clip from Russian state news will only add fire to those rumours. Shared and translated by Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, host Sergey Mardan is heard calling on his country to "help" North Korea.
He said: "When (South Korean) officials banned the supply of Korean cars here, we kept quiet. They supplied Ukraine with arms. South Korea supplied shells to Ukraine. They stopped supplying chips here that we vitally need.
"Are we supposed to keep quiet? Well, certainly we will help the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. We will help them in every way we can. And if (South Korea) starts supplying tanks, heavy weapons (to Ukraine), we will arm North Korea. It seems to me that this is how a fair world works. A symmetrical response to the South Koreans. They shouldn't be surprised."
Tensions between North and South Korea have escalated over the past week since it was announced that Kim Jong-un will abandon a key military agreement with South Korea. The deal meant that flights could not pass over the demilitarised zone between the two countries.
South Korea flew a surveillance plane over the 2.5 mile border this week after North Korea confirmed they had sent their first spy satellite into orbit.
