A pal of Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened that the US may soon face another attack as they mark another year since the 9/11 tragedy.
Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of Russia's security council and an ally of Putin, has made numerous hostile comments toward the US since the country has provided extensive aid to Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
On the eve of 9/11's anniversary, he posted to his social media account making a grim and harrowing prediction for the States.

Posting to his Telegram account, Medvedev said that America may expect "another 11/09/2001-style attack, but with a nuclear or biological component."
Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine's minister of internal affairs, translated the lengthy post and shared it to X, formerly known as Twitter.
He claimed that Medvedev said: "I don't want to forebode, but [the U.S. will] see that at some point terrorists will launch another 11/09/2001-style attack, but with a nuclear or biological component.
"Or even worse: one of the leaders of nuclear countries will lose his nerve and make an emotional decision to use WMD. Especially since the nuclear club is constantly expanding and a significant part of it is not bound by any obligations.
"And then that would be it. The end of the ball game. There will be only to collect money for a new monument in the neighborhood of Ground Zero. At best."

It is not the first time he has hinted at going to war with America, as just last month the friend of Putin suggested the US and other Western nations were pushing the world closer to World War III.
He accused Western powers of ignoring "signals" from Moscow, as he said: "Frankly speaking, it would have definitely been better if they had heard them [the signals].
"In any case, the world would not have to face the threat of World War III. In fact, this is where our opponents are actively pushing everyone."
In earlier comments, he also suggested that Biden, due to his advanced age, could "absent-mindedly start World War III."
