Met Office issues new ‘danger to life’ warning as imminent Storm Debi to hit UK

The Met Office has issued several yellow weather alerts and an amber warning for severe wind this week as Storm Debi descends on the UK.

The amber warning states: “A spell of very strong winds is expected to develop on Monday morning across County Armagh and County Down in association with Storm Debi.

“Inland gusts of 60 to 65 mph are likely in places whilst along the coast gusts of up to 75 mph are expected. Winds will gradually ease during the afternoon.”
