Israel military ‘blow up Hamas tunnels’ in dramatic video

IDF combat engineers ‘working to destroy terrorist infrastructure’

The Israeli military has released footage demonstrating their strategic approach to tackle the intricate network of underground tunnels used by Hamas in Gaza.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the IDF, shared the footage, emphasising the expansion of ground operations.

The expansion, he explained, empowers engineers to precisely target Hamas infrastructure using specialised equipment such as diggers and explosives.

He wrote on X: “The activity of the engineering warriors within the combat teams fighting in Gaza includes destroying the enemy’s weapons, locating, exposing and detonating tunnel shafts.

“With the expansion of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip, the fighters are thwarting the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas.”

The number of Palestinians killed in the war passed 10,500, including more than 4,300 children, the Health Ministry in Gaza said.

In the occupied West Bank, more than 160 Palestinians have been killed in the violence and Israeli raids. More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed, most of them in the October 7 Hamas attack that intensified the fighting, and 239 hostages were taken from Israel into Gaza by the terrorist group.
