A monstrous 23ft-long python was caught after terrifying a village, frightening its residents and even swallowing a goat on one grim occasion.
Firefighters managed to put an end to the reign of terror as they captured the 301lb beast in Kedah, Malaysia. They discovered the monster at an enclosure with a goat stuck in its stomach.
The massive animal's large lunch had left it exhausted, unable to move due to how much it had consumed. Firefighters discovered the beast on October 19 and managed to capture it without issue.

Pictures from the scene show how the firefighting team wrangled the snake to the ground. Four men were needed to take it down.
A statement from the firefighters read: "We received the report at 8.23am and reached the scene shortly after. A total of four members were deployed and arrived at the scene 25 minutes later.
"After arriving at the location, Kubang Pasu Civil Defence Force members saw that the reticulated python had swallowed a goat that was in the goat pen near the complainant's house.
"It didn't take long before the crew captured the snake and brought it back to the department." The snake has since been handed off to experts at the Department of Wildlife and National Parks of Peninsular Malaysia.
The reticulated python is set to be returned to the wild. It is the world's longest snake breed and is native to South and Southeast Asia. The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species marks it as a beast of "least concern".
