Boris Johnson’s former senior adviser Dominic Cummings has once again fired shots at the Conservatives, suggesting the governing party will soon be “closed down”. He also had a string of insults for Rishi Sunak.
The brutal barbs were posted on X, formerly Twitter.
The Brexit mastermind called on bookmakers to offer odds on the Prime Minister relocating to California and being replaced by former leader David Cameron.
Mr Cameron sensationally emerged as Mr Sunak’s new Foreign Secretary after a seven-year absence from the Westminster bubble.
He wrote: “There shd [sic] be odds on Sunak flying to Santa Monica & Cameron as PM for election 2024 [sic] A fitting final scene before the party is closed down”.
In a separate post, he said: “There is ZERO chance that Sunak, a weak broken & deluded PM – who has just appointed Cameron Foreign Secretary who left UK wide open to Chinese intel penetration then headed over there to collect cash from China Gvt! – will grasp this.
“(And Cameron shd be barred by the deep state from *all STRAP relating to China* as he’s a clear security risk at the v least) Even if Sunak tries (he won’t) he’ll be told that a load of Gvt lawyers will resign and say he is ‘undermining the rule of law, embracing fascism’. But he’ll fold long before this is necessary.”
Mr Cummings was at the heart of the Johnson government as the UK battled the Covid crisis, coming in for fierce criticism for driving to Barnard Castle in Durham when the nation was under strict lockdown rules.

The 51-year-old Durham-born strategist shot to political fame after his successful stint as director of the Vote Leave campaign. He was credited with the “take back control” slogan and was seen as one of the most influential figures behind Britain’s exit from the European Union.
This isn’t the first time Mr Cummings has hit out at Britain’s leading politicians. In private WhatsApp messages, exposed by the Covid Inquiry, the former adviser to Michael Gove branded Boris Johnson’s cabinet “useless f***pigs” and “feral”.
He also took to X on November 17 to call Mr Johnson “a total clown”.
In an interview with Dwarkesh Patel, he was asked why Johnson’s Government “wasted” their 80-seat majority.
He replied by saying he felt Johnson “didn’t care” about the country and was only in his role as PM to “make friends” and “have a nice time”.
Mr Cummings said: “Boris was prepared to be very aggressive and revolutionary in 2019, fundamentally because he thought it was necessary to survive as prime minister, not for the country, which he didn’t care about, but for himself.”
