Kia expects the average waiting period for the ADAS-equipped Seltos to reduce to 7-9 weeks.
Kia recently revealed that ADAS variants make up 47% of all Seltos bookings. Given their popularity, the carmaker has introduced two new variants of the Seltos equipped with ADAS. The new GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) are positioned between the HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line variants, priced from Rs 19.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
The GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants are equipped with 18-inch crystal-cut glossy Black alloy wheels, an Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold and black roof lining, at an additional cost starting at Rs 20,000.
Both trims miss out on the Bose audio system and 360-degree camera, which is available in the GTX+ and X-Line trims. Instead, the new variants get a 6-speaker audio system and a rearview camera.
The GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants are available with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The launch of the new variants is expected to reduce the average waiting period to 7-9 weeks from the previous 15-16 weeks.
