{"id":121790,"date":"2023-11-28T23:09:24","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T23:09:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cottontailsonline.com\/?p=121790"},"modified":"2023-11-28T23:09:24","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T23:09:24","slug":"royal-racist-unveiled-at-last-in-version-of-omid-scobies-bombshell-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cottontailsonline.com\/world-news\/royal-racist-unveiled-at-last-in-version-of-omid-scobies-bombshell-book\/","title":{"rendered":"Royal racist unveiled at last in version of Omid Scobies bombshell book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Copies of a controversial book on the monarchy were pulled in the Netherlands after it appeared to name the alleged \u201croyal racist\u201d.<\/p>\n<p> In his book Endgame, released around the world today, royal author Omid Scobie revealed there were in fact two royals who made derogatory remarks about the colour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle \u2019s unborn son, Archie. <\/p>\n<p>The Stateside couple sent shockwaves through the royal family when they accused an unnamed senior royal of expressing \u201cconcern\u201d about their child\u2019s complexion in a bombshell interview with US chat show queen Oprah Winfrey in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><b>READ MORE:<\/b><b>&apos;I went from homeless to millionaire adult model \u2013 weird fan requests put me off men&apos;<\/b> <b> <br \/> <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Mr Scobie said in interviews this week that UK libel laws prevented him from revealing the names of the royals detailed in private letters from Meghan to King Charles. <span>A page taken from a review copy of the book sent to Dutch journalists appeared to contain the identity of the royal who allegedly made the remarks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31551796.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_JBP_DXX_281123ENDGAMERELEASESCOBIEOMID10JPG.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Referring to the letters written between Meghan and the King discussing the issue, the Dutch version of the book reads: \u201cBut in those private letters and identity was revealed and confirmed.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Xander, the publishers of the Dutch version of Endgame, have put sales of the book on hold \u201ctemporarily\u201d over the \u201cerror\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>They said in a statement: \u201c[We are] temporarily withdrawing the book by Omid Scobie from sale. An error occurred in the Dutch translation and is currently being rectified.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31551794.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_The-Duke-and-Duchess-of-Sussex-Visit-South-Africa.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31550644.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/0_dolphin_main.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> Sex-mad dolphins have &apos;gay orgies&apos; while swimming and use headless fish as sexy toys<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A spokesperson for the publisher told the Daily Mail that they couldn\u2019t discuss the details, but added: \u201cWe have, however, received a request to put the title on hold and that is what we have done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scobie himself has denied responsibility for the error, telling Dutch chat show RTL Boulevard: &quot;The book is in several languages, and unfortunately I do not speak Dutch. But if there are translation errors, I&apos;m sure the publishers will have it under control. I wrote and edited the English version.
