Triumph has started exporting the made-in-India Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X to Malaysia.

The Triumph Speed 400 is priced at RM 26,900 (Rs 4.78 lakh), while the Scrambler 400X retails at RM 29,900 (Rs 5.31 lakh). Both motorcycles carry forward the same hardware specs as the Indian versions.

Both, the Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400X are underpinned by the same platform and have plenty of features in common. These include the round headlamps, rear-view mirrors, USD forks finished in gold, fuel tank design and tail section. Both motorcycles also share the same semi-digital instrument cluster.

However, there are also a bunch of different features, which help differentiate the two motorcycles. The Speed 400 gets a single-piece seat, while the 400X has a split seat, both have different exhaust mufflers & colour options. The Speed 400 rides on 17-inch road tyres at both ends, while the Scrambler comes with 17-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels with off-road tyres. The Scrambler also features a sump guard, hand guards and a larger front disc brake.

Powering the two motorcycles is a 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It produces 38 BHP and 39.5 Nm and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Apart from Malaysia, both, the Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400X are also exported to the Philippines & the United Kingdom.
