And the Met Office warns the storm could bring a &quot;danger to life&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The storm is expected to arrive in southwestern parts of England and Wales in the early hours of Thursday, before moving to the far south and southeast of England later in the day. The main focus in the next day or two is towards the east of Scotland and north-east England, where there is a yellow rain warning until 3am.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be persistent rain up there, and then the focus for heavy showers will be across parts of southern and southeastern England and south Wales. There are possible gusts of 80 to 90 miles an hour in some exposed southern areas. Roads, bridges and railway lines may also close while trains and planes are at risk of delays.<\/p>\n<p>There is also the potential for large waves and beach material to be thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties.<\/p>\n<p>Kate Marks, of the Environment Agency, said: \u201cWe urge people to stay safe on the coast and to remember to take extreme care on coastal paths and promenades.
