An airline has proposed a child-free zone – and it\u2019s already sparked a fierce backlash online.<\/p>\n
Many of us have been on a less than perfect flight that\u2019s been impacted by energetic – and noisy – little ones.<\/p>\n
Now, an airline has proposed introducing an area where kids are definitely not welcome.<\/p>\n
Dutch carrier Corendon said the move is intended to cater for people travelling without children or those who need a quiet place to work, reports MailOnline.<\/p>\n
And – they say – it will also help parents who are fretting about a negative reaction to their children\u2019s antics.<\/p>\n
READ MORE: <\/strong> Ryanair passengers terrified after man sneaks onboard without ticket<\/strong><\/p>\n A spokesperson said: \u201cThis zone in the aircraft is intended for passengers travelling without children and for business travellers who want to work in a quiet environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAt the same time, the introduction of the Only Adult zone also has a positive effect for parents with children.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThey don’t have to worry as much about possible reactions from fellow passengers if their child is a bit busier or cries.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n But the idea has divided flyers online.<\/p>\n One X, formerly Twitter user, said: \u201cSo apparently airlines are considering making ‘child free zones’ on planes, & I can\u2019t decide if this is a dystopian shift or not, but generally it\u2019s really sad how little tolerance people have for children & babies – even acting like they shouldn\u2019t be in public.\u201d<\/p>\n Another added: \u201cI\u2019ve noticed people seem more annoyed with kids in public than I\u2019ve ever seen before.\u00a0<\/p>\n Don’t miss… <\/strong> We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you. It\u2019s weird and sad.\u201d<\/p>\n But others thought it was a great idea.<\/p>\n One said: \u201cI didn’t realise how much I wanted an adults-only section until @Corendon_Air\u00a0created one\u201d<\/p>\n Another said: \u201cAdults-only zones, unpestered by kids, on planes? Sign us up!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBro this makes me love Corendon even more.
