Speaking at the Conservative Party conference in Manchester, Welsh Tory leader Andrew RT Davies said the contrast between Rishi Sunak\u2019s recent pro-motorist announcements and the Welsh Government \u201ccouldn\u2019t be more stark\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cRather than take a common sense approach, they\u2019re motivated by extreme ideology.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the last month, they\u2019ve introduced a blanket 20mph speed limit across the whole of Wales.<\/p>\n
\u201cLabour\u2019s own figures show this will cost the economy \u00a39billion! The cost of changing the signs alone is up to \u00a340million! And nearly half a million people have signed a petition calling for Labour\u2019s blanket 20mph speed limits to be scrapped.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut Mark Drakeford won\u2019t listen, and the Labour minister who imposed the 20mph speed limits on Wales arrogantly dismisses the decent Welsh people who signed the petition as \u2018anti-safety.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Because he is not even capable of standing up to Mark Drakeford and his plans for an independent Wales. A 20mph independent Wales.\u201d<\/p>\n Mr Drakeford has previously denied that he wants Welsh independence.<\/p>\n Ms Rayner\u2019s speech to Labour conference was packed with gags, including attacks on Rishi Sunak, Dominic Raab and Suella Braverman.<\/p>\n She said that since they met last year, Gavin Williamson had forced to resign \u201cbecause it turned out he was a bully.
