{"id":119816,"date":"2023-10-05T19:33:38","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T19:33:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cottontailsonline.com\/?p=119816"},"modified":"2023-10-05T19:33:38","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T19:33:38","slug":"deion-sanders-misses-weekly-football-coaches-show-because-of-health-reasons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cottontailsonline.com\/sports\/deion-sanders-misses-weekly-football-coaches-show-because-of-health-reasons\/","title":{"rendered":"Deion Sanders misses weekly football coaches show because of health reasons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deion Sanders did not attend a taping of his weekly CU Buffs football coaches show Thursday in Boulder for health reasons, university officials confirmed when reached by The Denver Post.<\/p>\n<p>The CU Coaches Show, which is held from noon to 1 p.m. at The Post Chicken &amp; Beer restaurant in Boulder, was without Coach Prime Thursday because the 56-year-old Sanders wasn&#8217;t feeling well and had received an IV.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for Buffs athletics declined to elaborate but confirmed Sanders&#8217; absence. CU officials stressed to The Post that the coach is fine.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders, whose 3-2 Buffs visit 1-4 Arizona State on Saturday in Tempe, Ariz., has had to navigate several health concerns in recent years. The Pro Football Hall-of-Famer missed Pac-12 Media Day in July because of a blood clot procedure, his second surgery in as many months. The NFL legend had two toes amputated while he was coaching at Jackson State in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>(Note: This is a developing story.
