Three people have died after a teen gunman opened fire at a popular shopping centre in Thailand.<\/p>\n
Gunshots are believed to have come from a toilet on the ground floor of the busy Siam Paragon mall.<\/p>\n
Police have been pictured tackling the alleged gunman – believed to be a minor – to the ground and arresting him. Two people have also been left injured.<\/p>\n
Other shoppers are believed to have taken shelter inside other shops inside the building as hundreds fled the scene and warned locals of the incident. <\/p>\n
Writing on X\/Twitter, one user said: “There’s a shooting incident in Siam Paragon. To anyone going or planning to go there, please avoid it at this moment. Stay safe everyone.”<\/p>\n

Writing on Twitter\/X, he said: “I would like to express my deepest condolences to the families of those who died in the shooting incident in the area of \u200b\u200bSiam Paragon Mall.”I would like to offer my support to the family of the deceased and all those who were injured as well.”Police officers quickly entered the area and I received a report from the Police Commander who was stationed at the scene that the culprit has now been arrested but I still want to ask about security and facilitating people to return home safely as well.”<\/p>\n Photos from just outside the shopping mall show people leaving the scene in droves. In one video, four loud noises could be clearly heard in the busy venue earlier today.Earlier reports suggested people had resorted to hiding in shops inside the complex before the shooter was apprehended.<\/p>\n The alleged shooter is believed to be 14-years-old.According to the BBC, the shooter has reportedly killed three people and injured four others using a handgun.<\/p>\n Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavishin has spoken following the shooting.He said: “I am aware of and following the situation in the case of a shooting incident in the Siam Paragon department store area.”<\/p>\n The shooter who was apprehended by police appeared to be wearing a cap with the flag of the USA on it. The shooter, allegedly a teenager, was arrested by police earlier today after shots were heard in a shopping mall in Bangkok.<\/p>\n A photo posted on Twitter\/X reportedly shows the moment the shooter was arrested.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The gunman who entered the shopping mall and allegedly opened fire is believed to have been a minor according to Thailand PBS.<\/p>\n Pictures circulating online show the moment police have tackled and arrested the alleged gunman to the ground.<\/p>\n Two others have also been injured in the rampage, reports say.<\/p>\n The alleged gunman behind the Bangkok mall shooting has reportedly been arrested. Bangkok Skytrain Siam Station, which is linked to the Paragon Mall, has reportedly closed following the incident which took place earlier today. The station is one of the busiest on the network with thousands of passengers passing through it every day.<\/p>\n Following reports of an active shooter, the Siam Paragon Mall has now closed after “loud sounds” were reported.
