Lexus and Toyota have come out on top of the WhatCar?’s new 2023 Reliability Survey in a boost for owners while British brands Vauxhall and Land Rover were among the worst.

However, it was Seat’s Cupra brand which was listed at the bottom followed by Italian marque Alfa Romeo.

The analysis was carried out by WhatCar? after speaking to a staggering 21,8732 car owners across the UK.

Those approached in the survey were asked if their vehicle had suffered any faults over the past four months with cars then handed an average score.

WhatCar? claims there has been a “slight improvement “ in reliability over the past six years. The percentage of cars aged up to five years old suffering issues has dropped 27 percent in 2018 to just 21 percent today.
