Lorraine, who lives in Dover, feels betrayed by the Tories after she “lent them her vote” to secure Brexit.

Speaking on GB News this morning, the Dover woman singled out Rishi Sunak’s failure to control illegal migration as proof that Brexit had not been delivered.

Earlier this year, the Prime Minister named ‘stopping the boats’ as omne of his five priorities in government.

Lorraine remains unimpressed, saying: “I don’t believe a word that comes from the Government.

“We lent our votes to the Conservatives because we thought Brexit was actually going to happen.”

“We’ve never been given the Brexit that we wanted.

“There are illegal immigrants coming up on the local beaches that are disappearing into the wider countryside.”

Lorraine said she knew one woman who had an illegal immigrant break into her kitchen.

The Dover local remarked that the Government had “lost control years ago”.

She voiced her frustration at what she saw as unfair treatment, adding: “People locally have to wait six to eight months to get a dentist appointment.

Don’t miss…

“But they leave slots open every day at my dentist for illegals to be brought in by border force to be seen by a dentist, just in case they need it.”

Lorraine also singled out the appointment of Grant Shapps as Defence Secretary during a cabinet reshuffle as a major point of concern.

She said that the country is in a “sorry state” if Mr Shapps is in charge of the country’s defence.

This comes as British Home Secretary Suella Braverman plans to raise the migration issue during her three-day visit to the US this week.

We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you.
