Adult channel subscribers hoping to enjoy some racy content were left miffed by anticlimactic coverage of the Queen's funeral.

As the nation mourned the loss of the much-loved monarch last year, it appeared there was nowhere to turn for some light relief as Television X, Babenation, babes&brazzers, among others, ditched their sexy schedules in favour of more sombre scenes.

The funeral was broadcast live on TV, radio and The Royal Family's Youtube Channel to allow people around the world to unite in grief on September 18, 2022.

But the choice to air it on Sky's raunchy channels did raise a few eyebrows. "Even Sky adult channels are all showing the Queen‘s funeral," wrote one gobsmacked bloke on X (formerly Twitter) at the time.

Another bloke joked: "So many good programmes to watch on TV today, start off with the Queen's funeral at 9am on ITV, Then Babestation at 1pm for the Queen's funeral and finishing it off on Sky Sports with the Queen's funeral…"

One stunned X user said: "Absolutely fascinated wondering what kind of person is watching the funeral on Babenation or Brazzers."

"Actually obsessed with the thought of Babenation funeral," another added.

While another said: "Imagine telling your grandkids how you watched the Queen's funeral on Babenation."

And harking back to that day, spoof account Big Rob wrote: "Rememberin ar liz, taken from us 1 year ago today. Nuff said."

Alongside his post was a picture of the Sky adult menu for the day, with all eight visible channels showing the ceremony.

Sky's sports channels operated in a similar vein that day, while Channel 5 notably showed the 'Emoji Movie'.

Big screens were put up across the country to watch the Queen's funeral, including in London’s Hyde Park, Sheffield’s Cathedral Square, Birmingham’s Centenary Square, Carlisle’s Bitts Park, Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park and Coleraine Town Hall in Northern Ireland.

Cinemas across the country also showed the funeral in a bid to bring local communities together.
