A 47-year-old man, from the US’s Pacific North Region went off to board the plane without his wife while she went to get coffee.<\/p>\n
The couple was travelling to see their 21-year-old daughter. He has posted his experience\u00a0on Reddit using the code names Jess and Meg to explain his actions.<\/p>\n
Posting on the Am I The A**hole (AITA) thread, he began by saying travelling with his wife isn\u2019t the most relaxing experience.<\/p>\n
He wrote: \u201cLet me start by saying that travelling with my wife is not a great experience\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am very type A, I like to have everything organised and make sure that we get where we need to be early, especially when travelling.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife is the opposite, very \u2018go with the flow\u2019 and \u2018we will get there when we get there\u2019.\u00a0 I do my best to meet in the middle, but not when travelling by plane.”<\/p>\n

My wife tells me that she wants to get coffee. T<\/p>\n here was a little market next to our\u00a0terminal\u00a0which sold coffee. ‘No, I want Starbucks,’ she said.<\/p>\n “Well, Starbucks was a rail ride away. Despite the airport staff calling her several times as they called boarding groups, she didn\u2019t return.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The man boarded the plane without his wife anyway. He told his wife he\u2019d meet her at the other end.<\/p>\n He said: “We are now home and she hasn\u2019t talked to me since the trip, over a week ago and is insisting that I am an a**hole. So, am I the a**hole? he asks.<\/p>\n The Reddit post has attracted many comments, mainly about timekeeping. One person wrote: \u201cThis. She is causing you tremendous stress and she doesn\u2019t care at all. That is telling. She owes you a big apology for all the lack of consideration and for the petulant follow-up\u201d.<\/p>\n Another said: \u201cYour wife is very selfish.
