The popular holiday island of Majorca was battered by hurricane-force winds of over 75mph, heavy rain, and hail today.<\/p>\n
The unexpected storm \u201csuddenly hit\u201d the island sending tables, chairs, and sunloungers flying across resorts and beaches.<\/p>\n
According to the MailOnline holidaymakers have since shared footage of people diving for shelter from the flying debris <\/p>\n

A P&O Britannia ferry also crashed into another vessel due to the gale-force winds, leaving several passengers needing medical treatment and thousands more panic-stricken.<\/p>\n
It is understood the winds meant the ferry broke free from its moorings and collided with a freight vessel during the storm.<\/p>\n
