The UK is tipped for a sizzling 30C heatwave in September after a predicted bank holiday washout.<\/p>\n
A meteorologist has revealed that despite summer officially coming to a close, hot weather is not going anywhere.<\/p>\n
In fact, UK temperatures may return to those seen back in June when the country enjoyed scorching heatwaves due to high pressure weather systems.<\/p>\n
Forecasters have assured Brits hoping for some more\u00a0sunshine\u00a0that temperatures may still reach 30C in September as a late summer\u00a0heatwave\u00a0is set to grip the country.<\/p>\n
Senior Meteorologist at British Weather Service Jim Dale told Express.co.uk that the hot weather is \u201cmuch overdue\u201d and \u201ccould come into fruition by the time we come into September\u201d.<\/p>\n

Having said that, 30C is entirely possible and is not unknown.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThere is no reason why some of the heat in the mediterranean and southern Europe won\u2019t eventually meander itself in our direction. More info<\/p>\n <\/p>\n However, Britons should not be putting their umbrellas away just yet as weather maps show this upcoming Bank Holiday will be shadowed with heavy downpours and gloomy skies in many areas.\u00a0<\/p>\n Mr Dale added: \u201cBefore we get there we have some mixed weather to come that is for sure. We can see it quite clearly this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n The Met Office has said Britons should expect a “mixed picture” for the bank holiday weekend as temperatures should linger in the low 20s in southern regions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n While in the northern areas temperatures will only reach high teens in the coming days.<\/p>\n The Met Office\u2019s outlook for the weekend states: \u201cSunny spells and blustery showers throughout this period, some heavy across the north and west.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cShowers tending to ease as Sunday progresses.
