Hi everyone! Eric on the mic. I’ve played . through every installment of the GTA game series and wondered which of the cities is the safest and which is the most dangerous to live in. So, I decided to take a look at GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, excluding the 2D and HD universes. There . are only two cities in the HD universe, and almost no one plays 2D games today, so , it won't be interesting. There's no point in analyzing GTA Stories either, as both games are , about events that happened before the main games, before Claude and Tommy most people know about got , involved in the criminal world of their cities. And yes, we will analyze the cities after the , player completes the main storyline of the game, thus the attitude of the criminal . gangs towards the player by this time may be different compared to . the beginning of the game. It is also possible that the cities themselves will undergo some changes. And yes, I will be looking exclusively at cities where . the main parts of the plot of the games happens. And of course, in this video I won't . be looking at Carcer City and other cities like Bullworth. Of course, you may disagree and stuff like that, but I tried to approach the problem as objectively as , possible. If you have your own opinion, leave it in the comments. Anyway, I . won't drag on and I'll get started. I'll start from the very beginning: in GTA 3 for , the first time we had a chance to see a city from the 3D universe — Liberty City, primarily based on New York city. Liberty City is divided into three islands: Portland, where the worker class lives, , Staunton, representing the business district, and Shoreside Vale with an international airport and , luxurious private homes and mansions. It can be said that this city is one of the dangerous ones, , as it is a home to eight gangs and mafia families such as the Colombians, Leones, Forellis Triads and others. Their activities are very diverse: night clubs, prostitution, counterfeiting, contract murders, drugs and other illegal affairs. In 2001 there was a new kind of drug called spank - it's very powerful stuff, people who use it become highly addicted. In addition, spank is sold by almost every gang. Once the game is over, Claude eliminates Spank's main supplier, the Cartel, but I think the supply will still resume, probably with even bigger scale than before, considering how easy it is to bribe the police in this city. The Colombians were shipping , spank by airplane to the international airport and cooking it on a ship in Portland Harbor, so it was literally on every island. However, as it was already said, thanks to Claude's , actions, the ship got sunk, and the Cartel got almost destroyed. Important mention will be , that the conflict between the Triads and Leones resulted in the Leones victory, and they didn't , sell SPANK at all - all thanks to Claude too. Cold blooded gang members make the city streets . extremely dangerous, as you, even as an innocent citizen, can simply be killed along with , other thugs. Don't forget that there are even terrorists from the Colombian cartel in this . game, who can blow up an entire bridge and kill a lot of people. And by the way, remember what Tony Cipriani did for the sum of 5000 dollars in 1998. There are a lot of people on the streets of Liberty City who will not mind stealing your car, so it is very risky to be there as a , driver. It is important to note that the city is surrounded by water so polluted , that a person caught in it dies in seconds. This happened due to a waste spill . in 1988. Basically, there will be no information about Liberty City for now, I will tell you everything at the very end. Vice City consists of two main islands: Vice Beach and the Vice City mainland, which are separated by a bay with a group of . islands between them. Crime here has its own peculiarities: in Vice City there are not as . many mass gang shootings as in Liberty City, so the probability of accidental . death in a shootout is lower. However, risks remain to be there due . to conflicts between hostile gangs, especially in dangerous areas such as Little Havana and the Little Haiti, where Cuban and Haitian gangs often clash. In other areas, . criminal activity remains unchanged: prostitution, counterfeiting, roofing and, of course, drug . trafficking. Do not forget that in the eighties, when the events of Vice City unfold, Miami ,
was the main center of drug trafficking. To put it simply, this means a huge number . of drug-addicted people, hence a lot of sick and unhealthy people are there. Almost every rich . person in Vice City, be it rockers from Love Fist or lawyer Ken Rosenberg, are on drugs, causing , Tommy to even send Ken to rehab in San Andreas later. Homeless people appear on the streets, , which is an indicator of not the most prosperous life - such people have really completely lost everything. In Vice City there is also corruption in the police, who turn a blind eye to all the , chaos going on in the city. In addition, the city is full of lunatics, such as the Love Fist hater . who came to a concert and killed innocent people. As for the environment of Vice City, similar , to Liberty City, it is surrounded by water, but here it is clean. However, Tommy , still drowns due to the presence of many reverse currents in the ocean. . If you get caught in such a current, it will take you into the sea, and even the most , skillful swimmer will not be able to resist it, because his strength will quickly , run out, and the person will drown. You can save yourself if you swim sideways, to the left or right of the current. Then the wave will pull you to the shore. However, Tommy has , another problem, he is not a good swimmer, which is always a reason of his death in the water. , That said, the beaches of Vice City are much busier than those in Liberty City. Oh, and don't forget that in 1984 Victor Vance in GTA Vice City Stories could swim. So lack of swimming in Vice , City is about Tommy dumbness and nothing else. This city is sure to be safer, as there . are far fewer neighborhoods with dangerous shootings here than in GTA 3, where they were literally on every corner. Although there are more drugs here than in Liberty City, what else , could you expect from a Miami based city. But no one forces you to deal with all of his. This city is still slightly safer than Liberty City. Now it will be more complicated, . because San Andreas is a whole state with three separate cities and . countryside. There are three cities: Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas. , All of these cities have airports and some kind of military bases. Los Santos is based on Los Angeles, and it should be said right away that almost half of this city is a ghetto, home . to many gangs: the Grove Street, Ballas, Vagos, and Aztecs. Despite the fact that Grove Street , and Aztecs adhere to the street code and are against drugs, Vagos and Ballas still spread everything they can, which is why Grove Street almost collapsed back in late 1980s. Remember . the mission where Big Bear got hooked on crack? The police doesn't really care . about what was going on there, because every minute there's a shooting or a assassination happening. So basically, it's a very dangerous place because of the constant . gang wars in which not only their members die, but also civilians. Besides the gangs selling , goods, regular drug dealers are not uncommon here either. They are easy to spot; they , usually sell stuff suspiciously standing alone. There are also a lot of homeless people here, most likely addicted to drugs as well. In the final missions of the game, Carl Johnson . takes all the territory away from the Ballas and the Vagos, but the Grove Street gang and the . Aztecas continue to exist, and they won't hesitate to kill any cop or passerby they don't like. Also, , well… no one can tell what goes on in the minds of those steeped in the ghetto, for whom dying , for their neighborhood is the meaning of life. The city is surrounded by the ocean, forests and . mountains, and there are several villages nearby. Unlike characters from GTA 3 and Vice City, Carl , can swim, and the water in San Andreas are crystal clear and quite suitable for swimming. There are , many people walking and sunbathing on the beaches, but the city cannot be called safe due to the presence of ghettos. Nevertheless, there is Vinewood, one of the most luxurious and prestigious places in the GTA world. San Fierro is a city far away from Las Venturas , and Los Santos. It is considered safer compared to Los Santos and is based on the image of San Francisco. It is home to three criminal gangs: the Rifa, the Triads, and the Da Nang boys. The Rifa is one of the most powerful gangs, maintains good relations with the Ballas and gets its merchandise through them. It’s head T-Bone is part of the larger Loco Syndicate and it has a drug factory on the outskirts of the
city. The Triads, on the other hand, are some of the quietest gangs in the whole city; they keep order in Chinatown and later become an important force in Las Venturas thanks to Woozie’s Four Dragons casino. The Da Nang boys are in the business of kidnapping people to sell , them into slavery later. At the end of the story, Carl eliminates all the members of the Rifa, T-Bone Mendez and a local pimp Jizzy, and destroys their drug factory. The ordinary members of the Rifa react harshly to the men armed with guns. Da Nang Boys also get a kick out of Carl when he hijacks their ship, eliminating almost all of the gang members and their leader while saving innocent people. All in all, the most powerful guys in San Fierro are the Triads. As far as water . is concerned, it's just like Los Santos. Also, there are a few quiet farms nearby. Overall, San , Fierro would be the safest city on today's list as it is one of the most favorable places that the richest people pick for living in. Las Venturas is in a long way from San Fierro, but Los Santos can be reached fairly quickly from here. The city, modeled , after Las Vegas, is just one solid casino. Las Venturas is home to several mafia groups that , are vying for control of the Caligula Casino, but only temporary one. The second significant . casino is run by Carl and the Triads. Mafia infighting is rare here, as all . the bosses came from Liberty City and are in San Andreas solely because of the , casino. After Carl robbed Caligula's casino, the mobs have no reason to fight - the money is gone and the Four Dragons casino is thriving. In the end, , all three mafia families - Leone, Forelli, and Sindacco - found themselves in a weak , position with no territory or real power. As mentioned earlier, none of the gangs have , shootouts in the streets. Sindacco had a man die of a heart attack, Forellis got eliminated by Carl after the request of Salvatore Leone. After the robbery Salvatore only threatened Carl, , but did nothing. Las Venturas is surrounded by deserts and a top-secret base 69: if you enter . its territory five stars immediately show up, and if you fly over the base, the air , defense system will instantly shoot you down. Las Venturas also has a fair number of nice . looking homes that provide a comfortable life, as does San Fierro. However, a city full of , casinos and having the most guarded base in the state near you cannot be considered the safest. For someone like a GTA protagonist, of course. What eventually becomes apparent is that the most dangerous city is Liberty City, where people are killed on every corner every minute. Gangs shoot . at each other, killing civilians, drugs are sold everywhere, imported through the international , airport, and the police look at all this through their fingers. In addition, the city is surrounded . by polluted water, which causes instant death. A little less dangerous city is Los Santos. , There is also chaos and disorder there, but only in the ghetto neighborhoods. At the , same time there are rich elite neighborhoods, where it is quite safe, and there is even an analog of Hollywood, where you can safely swim in yout poil. After Los Santos comes Vice City, , which is something in between LS and the next city. There are dangerous neighborhoods here too, . but there are much less of them than in Los Santos or Liberty City. No one forces you to buy drugs , anyway, maybe you don’t even have to have money for them. And the sea is not so dangerous, . even though Tommy has no luck with swimming. One of the safest cities is Las Venturas. Here there are almost no dangerous mobs shooting right on the street for nothing. However, a city with many casinos cannot be completely safe. Even with a weak mafia, there will always be those . who are running up debts. Especially with Area 69 right next door. In the end, the safest city , in GTA is San Fierro. Carl defeated the Da Nang slave traders and broke up the Loko Syndicate . with Rifa, destroying the main center of drug production - CJ is a real hero. All that's left , is the Triads controlling order in Chinatown. That's it. Today we found out which city in GTA . is the safest and which is the most dangerous. And that's it for today.
