Hi it's Christa at The Secret Yarnery, welcome to Crochet podcast episode 147! Today is another special summer edition, we are unpacking a Stack in the Back! well actually a couple Stacks in the Back. If you're new to the channel and don't remember Stack in the Back, you are in for a treat just remember to comment under the video which ones you'd like a tutorial for or written pattern and . which are your favorites are I'd love to help you create those yourself, so grab a sip get comfy and let's unpack those stacks we have the purples in the house this is . heat of the week it's a good one right so let me show you all of these whoop whoop okay oh starting with the good old good old guzzling the Guzzling Granny Baby Blanket you remember that one that's just a couple weeks old this tutorial so this is a written pattern and tutorial now I'm going to fold , them up before I get carried away because I won't fold them up and then I'll come in here , to do work and it's going to be a huge mess and I won't like it so I'm going to fold as I go that's what oh this is a cutie this is the Stitch sampler cowl so . this is all the different stitches that we learned and it's just in a Spiral around and around and around so you don't have to join or anything , it is practice your stitches until your one ball of yarn is done so that is the . Stitch sampler cowl I'd put it on but I'm hot ly oh what's this oh this was gonna be this , is actually really pretty I could do that again this is the Sober granny in a spiral I was gonna do like an Infinity scarf I want such a nice yarn too but I haven't finished it or something I don't know I haven't decided what I'm doing with it but that is actually really cute I think , I stopped because it was curling up so much but it is actually really nice so that is the Silver Granny and a spiral Infinity Scarf unfinished kind of oh this is so nice this . is my mile of minute baby blanket with Lorena worsted so it's 50 cotton 50 acrylic and a four weight into this cute baby blanket with I'm showing you the wrong way . with this cute Border isn't that a dorb because I think the thing with like these my limit blankets is like putting the Border all around it it's kind of always awkward so this pattern comes with a nice border already finished well you have to finish it . but it's all part of the pattern so that is mile a minute baby blanket pattern on my website , tutorial on my channel right that's how it goes what's this one oh this Coronation baby blanket that's gorgeous that is the Coronation baby . blanket so it's a two row repeat isn't that so pretty there is a pattern on my website tutorial . on my channel but isn't that such a pretty Stitch it's my disco ball glistening I think . so that's a super cute one hahaha we're having a day with the lights aren't we . okay this beauty is well it's not a beauty this was officially my first crochet project as an adult this is my adult first crochet project so it was going to be a blanket for my sofa set I made it with in a three weight yarn with a four millimeter hook , of course you do right it is I can go back that big you gonna see that so anyway it ended up being eight feet wide and I'm like wow but I bought a book from the bookstore here and I just . did I just practiced different stitches as I went through like I'll try this I'll try that and then , I'm like I think I'm finished I think I don't want to work on it anymore it was just too wide so I . kind of had it draped over my sofa for a while and then myself a faded so so my kids we I used to we call it the purple sofa we're like oh the purple sofa set but my
kids are like we don't have a purple sofa set because it was gray since my kids were born so I'm like well it used to be purple it was it's not purple anymore no and I got it recovered when we moved to this house and now it looks like that oops that was me oh okay last . but not least I wish I could stand up for this one who knows what it is name that Stitch number one name that border isn't that everything it's like dancing cats it's foxtrot da da right that's a Charleston down there so cute right so just imagine me wearing it so it is a it is a big wrap it's not that big I , guess I can always go back and show you back here there we go so it's big like that but the the gorgeous part is of course this shaky shaky border and the trick to the border is like a different , yarn so I used cotton and silk and bamboo to give it that nice hang if you do acrylic . it's not heavy enough to like pull down it kind of just goes wavy but with a with a natural fiber look what you get isn't that just like oh like it's just too cute so this is global shawl with Fox chop border oh I finally had purple shirts I just got . a purple shirt I'm gonna wear it next week now that it's getting to be hot out I finally have something to match my Global shawl with foxtrot border and I'll link that down below also because , this one that the wind that's a solid win right there so this is heap of the week that's a pretty good Heap right okay Heap is going back let's go unpack that deck stack oh that's a good one all right let's see starting with my very first knit blanket this is folded in half okay , let me show it from behind this is my very first knit blanket it is just knitting and then tassels on the end just whichever yarn was left over really nice shop in White Rock British Columbia and the lady was like oh this is the . easiest pattern to do for beginners so that was my first one it's with . cashmere and all these fancy fancy Yarns I made it for my husband back when we were Newlyweds yep so there's cashmere baby alpaca Italian silk now Italian ribbon and all the , good Yarns are in there everything in blue really really pretty so that just goes . kind of over a sofa or whatever uh turns out he didn't well he liked it but after the fact he's not a Fuzzy yarn person if you think that's fuzzy . I think it's gorgeous so I keep it he liked it but it tickles his skin apparently he's more of a softly baby kind of guy if I could have saved myself a fortune and made a misopoly , baby blanket mental note to self oh this is cute that that is technically a whip oh I I really I do love that border now this let me see if I can oh this is a Palm Springs granny shawl I , think I made it too narrow hmm too small see what I mean it's like a little bit small good though actually but I would make it a foot bigger or a foot longer and this is just with Savor in such a nice color and I put a nice Fringe on the one side to add some length and then I was gonna film it all before I finished the other , aside but I might just make a bigger one from scratch but I might not but I might but I might not anyway that is a really cute thing I just wish it was a bit longer so that is Palm Springs granny , I don't even have a tutorial for the blanket yet I gotta do that so that's another one on . the list of things to do always this cutie this was for my youngest I gotta show you this from behind this is the ruana poncho but kid size so this is a tutorial just so you . can see the stitches and everything so this is the rowana poncho that I did the tutorial for so , you can see the size and everything and then the real Ruana Poncho is in a different stack at the . back but this was the one for the tutorial I do have yarn waiting to make another Ruana Poncho ,
but I have yet to start it but it's a really easy pattern so it says double crochet with a really big hook and then it goes really quick and you have a nice little Poncho afterwards . the original the OG the Drunken granny hello drunken granny that is the , original Drunken Granny baby blanket cute right so that is a super fast Stitch and my first very very popular video so this one , is a keeper this is just made with regular cutting acrylic Before ice Yarns even before I figured out , ice yarn so this is regular Canyon acrylic I used five hundred grams five balls I could have made it bigger with more yarn but that was my very first my very first tutorial I want to do another . tutorial for the drunken granny using ice Yarns so you I can tell you how much , you know the yardage and all that because Kenyan acrylic does , not come with the yardage so that's a cutie oh y'all are gonna know that one it's upside down a little bit isn't it Berry biscuit baby blanket oh I love it and that border it is so cute so this is the berry biscuit I gotta show you this from behind this one's great berry biscuit plus thing Berry biscuit so fun so that , is my version of the Berry biscuit baby blanket isn't that cute I love the colors and everything so this is a four row repeat but you do feel really satisfied after , you've done like a full set of biscuits like a little biscuit with a little . Cherry in the middle isn't that cute so that is a winner and the border is also great it's really really nice that's one of my favorites gotta gotta say gotta be honest I do love that blanket not folding it very well though a little bit of effort goes a long way there we are oh I like flashback Thursday because it's not Thursday all right so this is one of my very first or maybe this is my first crochet garment that . is my first crochet garment it is a little cake and what I don't like about it it's before I knew . how to join like do an invisible join going up the side so there's all those big gaping holes . going up because I didn't do that little extra Stitch to hide that join anyway that's my first one I'll show you what it looks like I love the pattern don't get bro I should do . this as a tutorial actually if you want to see this as a tutorial let me know so it is just , a little capelet that you can also like wear as a cowl or something like that or you can pull it down and have a little bit of warmth a little a little Cape flip so that is a little cute thing . if you'd like to see a tutorial for that one let me know with the proper join going up the side but , it's cute and I like the Colors oh what's this now well aren't I ahead of the game sometimes it is . really great unpacking a stack look what I found I just found a drunken granny baby bug remember I just said I want to do it again well I've already started one baby blanket I've probably . finished the baby blanket it feels like 600 grams and all I have to do is film how to start , and then film how to end I'm ready to go well I gotta put that a little closer on the . to-do pile don't I I should put that in a in a wet basket I'm gonna put that in a wet basket actually that is gonna stay with me oh and aren't I great some days amazing where's my other one I . have a stitch marker in it right there that must Mark where I remember my 200 grams ran out so this is 600 grams so good oh wow so when this tutorial comes out you'll know that it's all thanks to , stack in the back or I wouldn't even remember sad but true okay that's staying out as a whip let me return this deck to the back so hope you enjoyed that as much as . I did let me know your favorites or whichever you'd like a tutorial for in the , comments under this video and stay hooked
