I will tell another story. The Story from the life of a disciple of. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was a beautiful teacher.. And very strict also. He was married but not like ordinary marriage., He had his divine companion but no physical contact. He had a disciple his name is Latu. L A T U, Latu. Nobody knows where he was born. He looked funny. If you look at his photo also, dark complexion, looking funny. And his monastic name later on was, Swami Adbhutananda. Ananda means bliss, Adbhuta means wonderful, miraculous. Adbhutananda. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa had a disciple, he was a rich man. And this young boy was a house help. You can tell a servant. When Ramamkrishna saw him, sometimes he brought some food for Sri Ramamkrishna, some other things from this disciple,, the disciple was sending. He saw this boy, he really loved him. He told to this rich man:. "Who is this young man, young boy?" He said: "Nobody, he has no father, no mother, no family, he is just staying and helping something and living. Seem to be a tribal boy, born in forrest." He said: "Can you give this boy to me? I want him. Ramakrishna kept this boy, he gave him. and he was also happy to be with Ramakrishna. Sri Ramakrishna wanted to teach him.. What to teach? In the beginning you have to teach the alphabet. I don't know in sanskrit classes today what is discussed.

You taught sanskrit yesterday? So a, aa. Sri Ramamkrishna said: "This is a," Okay? "Write!" He wrote. "Tell a." He said "ka.", "No, not ka, I tell a." He said "ka." "Hey! It is not ka, it is a." He said "ka." The teacher lost his patience. And the student is stuck with his own state., He is not moving. A, ka. "Finish it! I can't teach you., No need for you to learn anything, go." Can you imagine what was his education? What was his education? In later period of life when Vivekananda and, other disciple they started a big monastery, many young people coming to study. When there was some discussion on Upanishad, some high spiritual or philosophical knowledge, if there is a question or doubt, he used to tell to young, brilliant students: “You go and ask Latu. Latu maharaj., Latu, he will answer.” Others smiled and said "What?" "Go and ask him.” And when they were asking him he was answering. How come? Just tell me, who never read anything,. he could not begin with the one letter, the first letter a became ka, and Sri Ramakrishna said:. “Finish it. You do not have to study all this." How could he learn all this? It is the only thing, just he loved and served.. He loved and served without anything, without... in Oriya Bhagavatam there is a saying:,

mu jāku sadayajñāna tā hṛdaru udaya. The meaning is: If I have my loving look on somebody, knowledge just outbursts from the heart of that person. It is not by reading. If I ask you: "Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, what did he study?" He didn't study so much. His study finished with simple arithmetick. He was in primary school. He studied how to read. After learning the alphabet, number., After knowing the number, then simple addition. One plus one is equal to? Two. And he said: "No. One plus one, is one." How can it be two? "No, no, no, one plus one is two. You see, this is one finger, this is one finger. Two fingers., How many? One, two. He said: "One plus one, is one.". And he didn't go to school anymore. Neither the teacher understood the student nor the student understood the teacher. When the teacher is teaching the simple arithmetick, he is speaking of spirituality. Remember, real learning is possible between the teacher, and the student, when they become one. Real transfer of knowledge is possible, when they become one. They become one means harmony in thinking, harmony in love, harmony in acceptance. So when there is that unity, then real learning is possible. Otherwise no..
