Today we are jumping into the unveiling of Night CIty Wire 3, the date it will be releasing and what we can expect to see there, some, hints about a couple prominent Arasaka characters with this recently spotted Cyberpunk 2077 shirt, Some updates on Microtransactions and differentiating between the single player CYberpunk experience and the standalone multiplayer experience set in the same universe, A Cyberpunk. red update, as well as the release of the first issue of the amazing new Trauma Team, comic. As always grab a displate for 15% off and, I’ve also recently partnered with SecretLabs chairs so if you are interested in either. of those, links will be in the pinned comment! First up we have a brand new image tweeted out by CDPR and Cyberpunk 2077 in honour of their Twitter page reaching 1 million followers. Each time they release a new image I find myself saying this is my new favorite and this one in particular is super striking and really showcasing the potential verticality of Night City. V is holding his trust Malorian revolver, and seems to have some sort of crafting augmentations on his left hand which we haven’t really seen too much of, and looking a tad more closely notice how the Quadra turbo vehicle is actually red. Obviously this is not an in-game image, but, it’s likely pretty indicative of what we can find in game, so maybe expect either of these to be potential choices when we jump into Night City on November 19th. We also have a new Badlands shot during the Nomad lifepath as we approach some Biotechnica protein farms. Moving on we now have a date for the Next, Night City Wire. CDPR took to twitter again to tweet out the following information - “join us on Friday, September 18th at 6PM CEST at twitch.tv/cdprojektred, for the 3rd episode of Night City Wire! We’ll take you on a tour around Night City,. check up on its gangs and give you a sneak peek into the creation of the Cyberpunk 2077 original score. They also showed a video showcasing the main, gangs that we will be taking a look at, including the Animals, the Aldecaldos, the Maelstrom,, the 6th street, the Tyger Claws, the Moxes, the Voodooboys, the Valentinos and the Wraiths! This is a first look at the in game models,
of a bunch of these gangs, and they are all looking incredible and I’m looking forward, to interacting with all of them once the game launches. Drop a comment and let me know which gang, you guys are liking based on this image. If I had to guess on the layout of this wire,. I think the Night City tour will come first followed by the OST details and finishing, on the gangs. I will also be streaming this like I did with, the first two episodes, so check out the pinned comment to set a reminder for that live stream! Before we jump to the next topic, no this will not be the last NCW Episode as confirmed in a recent CDPR investors call, which was. reconfirmed on Twitter. We will see more of them alongside other marketing, efforts in the next 2 and a half months prelaunch, and as a reminder here’s what that marketing. push will look like across all mediums. Again episode 3 will take up a 30 minute window. as per usual. Moving on we have a hint at a new character, and how he is tied to the Arasaka family in Cyberpunk 2077. THis was something spotted by MadQueen on. Global community lead of CDPR Marcin Momots tweet where he seems to be wearing a new piece. of 2077 merch featuring a new Cyberninja character named Oda. We can see it more clearly in this image where. he is referenced to as the bodyguard of Hanako Arasaka, and was taught martial arts by what. I believe says Takemura judging by the lettering and this response by Quest designer Phillip. Webber. Takemura is a prominent character that we’ve only thus far seen in some of 2077s products. He’s obviously integral to the story to. be deemed worthy enough to have Mcfarlane toys alongside V and Johnny Silverhand, so by extension Oda will also likely play a big part in 2077’s main narrative. Hanako by the way is Saburo Arasaka’s youngest. child, who may also be seen here in this image from the Lifepath trailer. Regardless this dude looks to be an intriguing, character, and does look similar albeit not exactly the same as this bodyguard in the, substance over style posters. Moving right along we have some clarification on the monetization of both Cyberpunk 2077 and the other triple A cyberpunk game codenamed. Cyberpunk online releasing sometime in 2022. Their twitter explains it simply stating that “when it comes to the single player Cyberpunk 2077 game, there will be 0 microtransactions. One single purchase. No tricks, Don’t believe the clickbait.” When it comes to Cyberpunk Online, which is,
a separate project, they will have microtransactions but this was stated a year ago already. Like always expect us to treat your money, with respect. Now, I think the main factor in the confusion here is that people don't understand that these are 2 separate projects. When articles reference age old tweets dating. back to 2018 about leaving greed to others and no microtransaction, it was in regards to the Single player which still stands. Correlating those tweets later on to a MP. that is a standalone and had yet to be announced is disingenuous to say the least and many. times either to farm the outrage clicks, or flat out lack of research. Going back to 2019 there have been multiple, investors calls where fair monetization was mentioned in relation to the MP was also mentioned. It seems microtransactions are a part of the, monetization process of the online element, which isn’t inherently a bad thing. The word has been run into the mud by other, developers, so only time will tell if these will truly be fair or not. Monetization was done tastefully with MTX. when it comes to Gwent, and deviating from this would tarnish CDPR’s image so again, we’ll have to wait and see, but don’t believe some of these articles that don’t, even know the distinguishing factor of monetization vs microtransactions. They are not interchangeable terms, and seeing titles with microtransactions in Cyberpunk 2077 is not at all legitimate. Monetization of Cyberpunk 2077 is the one. time single charge of the game, nothing more and nothing less. Moving on we have the release of the first issue of the Trauma Team comic. Highly recommend it, the writing and the art. so far is top notch, so if you are into comics, trauma team or both thats now available to. you. Finally we have some updates on Cyberpunk. Red via an update post on RTalsorian’s blog. It goes on to mention that they were aiming, to get Red out before the end of the summer, but that is no longer feasible. The book is fully written and undergoing editing, and the project had grown substantially over the last year with a lot of new lore that. needed extra verification in tying 2020 and 2077 together. With that being said expect Cyberpunk red to be nearly twice the size of the Cyberpunk 2020 core book. Some pieces of art are still being waited. upon, and coordination had to happen with CD PROJEKT RED due to shared characters. Red is at the stage where it will release, when it's ready. That’s it for today, have a great weekend, and for more CYberpunk content and news join Neon Nation by subscribing to The Neon Arcade.
