A Kitten Covered In Glue Was Found Barely Alive

Under the scorching sun, a tiny kitten lay still on the ground, dry and motionless. At first glance, I feared the worst, but as I got closer, I noticed she was still breathing, though just barely. She watched passersby with fear in her eyes, her body stiff and fragile, clearly in desperate need of help. Without hesitation, I scooped her up and brought her home, only to make a heartbreaking discovery. Someone had cruelly covered her in glue. The smell was overpowering, and even after rinsing her, the glue wouldn't come off. The kitten poked her head out from the towel, her eyes pleading for help, her little body exhausted. I offered her some snacks, and she devoured them hungrily, clearly starving. Seeing her in such a sad state, especially next to my other cat, Damiao, was heartbreaking. The kitten was filthy, painfully thin, and in such poor condition that even Damiao seemed to recoil from the smell of glue. After researching how to safely remove it, I decided to try using cooking oil, rubbing it gently into her fur in the hope of dissolving the glue. Despite everything, the little kitten remained calm, cooperating as best she could. Her paws were stuck together, making it impossible for her to walk properly. But after patiently rubbing her fur with oil and giving her another bath, the glue finally started to come off. Though frightened, the kitten clung to the edge of the basin, and we managed to wash away most of the glue from her paws and belly. It was hard to imagine how anyone could be so cruel to such a helpless creature. After her bath, the glue was gone, and the kitten, now clean, curled up to rest. She was still weak, but at least she was safe. The next day, she began walking a little, but a new problem surfaced. Her belly had swollen after eating, and she couldn't defecate. I took her to the vet, who prescribed medication, and after a few days, she finally began to feel better. As the days passed, the kitten grew stronger and more playful. She started nibbling on my fingers and exploring the house with curiosity. I named her Bayi-Bayi, and soon she was running to greet me whenever I came home. Even Demiao, who had initially been hesitant about the new arrival, slowly warmed up to Bayi-Bayi. Though their playtime often looked like a game of cat and mouse, Bayi-Bayi, despite being smaller, held her own in their playful battles. Ten days later, Bayi-Bayi and Demiao were getting along much better. Demiao, now acting like an older sister, tolerated Bayi-Bayi's antics and even started teaching her how to be a cat. Watching Bayi-Bayi thrive, I knew that saving her had been the right decision. She had gone from a frail, scared kitten to a lively, mischievous one, full of energy. Though Bayi-Bayi still carried habits from her time as a stray, like rummaging through the trash or jumping into my lap to playfully bite my fingers, she had blossomed into a playful, joyful kitten. She and Demiao turned the house into their playground, using everything from fresh bedsheets to my lap as their wrestling ring. After a month, Bayi-Bayi had transformed into a beautiful cat, with only two tiny black strands of fur on her head, remaining as a reminder of the fragile kitten she once was. Each day brought new changes as Bayi-Bayi grew bigger and stronger. She was nearly the same size as Demiao now, her once frail frame replaced by a healthy, sleek body. Her personality was one of a kind, full of spunk. She would pounce if I pointed a finger at her, always ready to play. As time went on, the playful skirmishes between the two cats became less frequent, replaced by moments of calm as they groomed each other after meals, a sign of the bond they had formed. Watching Bawi-Bawi grow up has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Though she made messes around the house with her endless energy, I never minded cleaning up after her. Cats like Bawi-Bayi bring so much joy, offering companionship and comfort, especially when you're feeling lonely or sad. Her curiosity was boundless, and she could play with her toys for hours while Demiao, more laid back, would watch her like an amused guardian. Bawi-Bawi is a lucky kitten. She survived unimaginable cruelty and neglect, only to find a life filled with love and care. While some had treated her like trash, others saw her as a treasure.
