Severe thunderstorm watch posted for northeastern Colorado

5:07 p.m.: Severe thunderstorm warning posted for portion of the Interstate 76 corridor northeast of Denver including Keenesburg and Roggen. Warning posted until 5:45 p.m. Quarter-size hail possible with 50 mph winds.

4:49 p.m.: Penny-size hail and 30 mph winds smack parts of north Denver, isolated storm is moving northeast, according to National Weather Service.

4:39 p.m.: A special weather statement is issued for Denver, Thornton, Commerce City and DIA until 5:15 p.m. where pea-size hail and winds to 30 mph is possible, according to the National Weather Service.

4:11 p.m.: Severe weather hammers Interstate 25 corridor north of Denver from Greeley to Fort Collins.

3:47 p.m.: At Denver International Airport inbound flights are being held at origin airports until 4 p.m. because of stormy weather here, according to FlightAware.com. Also at DIA Saturday afternoon, 31 takeoffs are delayed between 1 and 5 p.m., one flight has been canceled.

3:34 p.m.: A severe thunderstorm warning is posted through 4:15 p.m. in northeastern Colorado, north of Interstate 76, to include Firestone, Platteville, Gilcrest and Evans.

3:30 p.m.: A flash flood warning is posted for Larimer County, including the Cameron Peak burn area, through 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

3:25 p.m.: A severe thunderstorm watch has been posted for parts of northeastern Colorado including Greeley, Sterling and Fort Morgan. The watch, posted by the National Weather Service, runs through 9 .m. Saturday.
