Elon Musk has added a £70million private jet to his fleet of vehicles, after his £38billion Twitter spend.
According to a report by the Texas-based news site Austonia, Musk has placed an order for the Gulfstream G700, which is expected to replace his current jet, the G650ER.
Musk currently has four jets, three of which are made by Gulfstream as well as a Dassault 900B, the first jet he ever purchased.

Operating his new jet will be a costly exercise as flying the jet for 400 hours can rack up astonishing operating expenses that cost around $3.5 million (£3.1million), according to Liberty Jet.
Musk's new aircraft is said to be the "stretched" version of the G650, measuring 109 feet and 10 inches in length, and 25 feet and five inches in height, according to Gulfstream.
It has a cruising speed of Mach 0.925 — just under the speed of sound – and, according to a May press release by Gulfstream, has flown from Georgia to Geneva, Switzerland in seven hours and 37 minutes at a cruising speed of Mach 0.90.

The G700's cabin is split into various sections including a lavatory, galley, forward seating, entertainment suite, and dining area, in addition to the stateroom and the en-suite bathroom, the jet's virtual tour shows.
The stateroom is designed with either a single or double bed and the en-suite bathroom is one of its most luxurious features with several compartments for toiletries and valuables, a full-length mirror, and a leather-seat toilet.
It is also said to be one of the few private jets large enough to accommodate a standing shower, and can also be customised for the bathroom to be designed with a shower.
The new jet is unlikely to sit idle in the hangar with the frequently flying billionaire, who clocked up 150,000 miles in his G650ER in 2018 according to records obtained by the Washington Post.
