Shocking footage has emerged of the moment two men began throwing punches at each other in front of horrified high street shoppers.

The two young men were caught on camera trading blows near the empty stalls of the Bullring Markets, skirting around each other in circles close before trading punches.

At one point one manages to grab the other – and knocks his cap off, Birmingham Live reports.

The astonishing broad-daylight brawl took place in front of horrified shoppers who were emerging from the shopping centre in Birmingham City Centre.

One bystander in a white top is seen urging them to "leave it man, leave it" before he calmly intervenes and separates the pair.

A female can also be heard saying "stop fighting" as the brawl continues. However, another man urges the fighters to "keep going."

The shocking scenes unfolded in front of shoppers near a row of empty market stalls at around 2pm on Wednesday (June 22).

It is unclear why the incident occurred but the Daily Star has reached out to West Midlands Police for comment.

The news comes as another video went viral of two men wielding chairs at people on a High Street in London during a separate incident.

The blokes were seen swinging yellow and black chairs during a brawl outside of a restaurant in Beckenham, London, that was described as a " WWE match.'

The video, which was recorded by a customer inside the restaurant, shows one bloke, wearing a white shirt, holding a yellow chair over his head as he attempted to hit people in black hoodies.

Another man then appears to come into the shot with a black chair over his head doing the same, as staff from inside Branded Beckenham on the High Street began locking the doors.

It is not clear what caused the incident.
