Controversial Royal Prince Harry will come to the United Kingdom for his dad's coronation – but he'll be doing it alone, according to reports.

King Charles will be officially coroneted on May 6.

Despite the constant controversy surrounding his son and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle, it had been confirmed by insider sources that the couple had been invited to the historic event.

But it now appears that the Duke of Sussex will be attending by himself, without his former actress wife by his side.

According to media-loving Royal insider Paul Burrell, Meghan won't be attending the event.

Speaking to Closer magazine, he said: “It's likely to be incredibly uncomfortable for them if they attend, particularly Meghan. Are they prepared to face the music?

“I don't think Meghan's brave or strong enough to be there – she'd have to look in the eyes of a family she's pushed under the bus.

“But I think Harry may come alone and she's probably told him she won't be able to be by his side with him if he does attend.”

A spokesman for Harry and Meghan did confirm the couple were invited, but failed to confirm or deny their attendance.

They said: “I can confirm the duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the Coronation.

“An immediate decision on whether the duke and duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time."

Earlier this month, Burrell – Princess Diana's ex-butler – told The Mirror that he wants to reunite Prince Harry with brother William.

And he claimed he has secrets their mother told him in private that he wants to share with them.

Burrell, who is current battling cancer, said: “My illness has focused my attention on telling the boys things before it’s too late – telling them what they really should know.

“I think Diana would say to me, ‘Paul, you must make this a priority. You must go and see my boys’.

“I think what I have to say could bring the boys back together, which Diana would have desperately wanted. I will only tell them the truth, that is all. I am not looking for anything in return.”
