A young couple have tragically been found dead inside their flat – with heartbroken friends now paying tribute.
Emergency services descended on the property on Station Road in Milngavie, Scotland, on Sunday morning, March 21.
The pair, identified locally as Gerry Mooney, 26, and Bethany McManus, 20, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Four police cars and an ambulance were stationed outside, the Daily Record reports.
Police Scotland said in a statement: "Both of their next of kin have been made aware.
"Their deaths are being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
One old schoolfriend paid tribute to Bethany, saying “things will never be the same”.
They wrote on social media: "You had been through so much in such a short time.
“Your life hadn't really began and you're gone. You will truly be missed by many people. Things will never be the same without you. You're my best friend.
"This morning my heart just dropped and I couldn't believe what I was hearing or seeing. Sleep tight my beautiful friend you will always be remembered. I just can't believe it." [sic]
Another friend wrote: “Bethany McManus you were one of the most funniest people I’ve ever known, we were always in fits of laughter. Up to mischief all the way through school and causing hassle.

"We have so many memories and laughs together.
"I’m in so much shock that you are actually gone. I was speaking to you 3 days ago, we were talking how different things are now compared to years ago.
"You are going to be so missed. Rest in peace beautiful girl."
A raft of tributes were also left for Gerry, believed to have been a personal trainer.
One person posted: “A cracking and quiet wee guy. Did not know his misses. Took far too soon.
