75 gallons of diesel leak from semi-truck on East Lincoln Avenue, hazmat crews deployed to try to contain and absorb

Eastbound Lincoln Avenue is closed from Urbana Boulevard to Chambers Road in Stonegate after a jack-knifed semi-truck leaked at least 75 gallons of diesel fuel. Hazardous materials crews have been working since before sunrise Tuesday morning trying to contain and absorb the liquids.

South Metro Fire Rescue and Douglas County Sheriff crews deployed to the scene of the crash, near where Lincoln Avenue intersects with South Chambers Road. It’s unclear whether the leaked diesel contaminated soil or water. The authorities advised that the lane closures could last for at least 90 minutes.

This is a developing story.
