Denver police are asking for the public’s help in a homicide investigation after a 14-year-old boy was killed near a baseball diamond at the Southwest Recreation Center on Monday afternoon.
Police said Josiaz “JoJo” Aragon was killed around 1:15 p.m. Monday outside the rec center at 9200 West Saratoga Place. He would have turned 15 on Wednesday, police said.
Investigators have not said how the boy was killed or if they have any information about suspects.
Denver police on Monday night had said the homicide victim was “a male who appears to be an adult.”
Anyone with information about the boy’s death is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information.
