Anyone staying there won’t just be treated to brand new rooms at a budget price, but also a complementary virtual tennis court experience.
It means you can get stuck into a free 'tennis game' during your stay – without having to book a court nearby.
The experience is an homage to Wimbledon’s prominent place on the world’s tennis stage.
The VR experience is offered Bia an immersive headset which you strap over your eyes to be transported into another world.
When playing you’ll become a professional like your favourite players – from Murray to Serena.
Customers can hire the virtual tennis court from the hotel reception desk during their stay at the new London Wimbledon Central Travelodge – and have access to a game of tennis 24 hours a day regardless of the weather.
The Wimbledon hotel has been billed as “budget luxe” and is the third of its kind based on consumer studies that show Brits want more style and homely touches in their rooms.
Each of the eight floors has been named after Britons' favourite tennis legends that have played in a Wimbledon Championship.
These include Sir Andy Murray, Rodger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Tim Henman OBE and Novak Djokovic.
The 177-room hotel features the group’s premium economy SuperRooms, the new budget luxe room and a contemporary on-site restaurant called the Bar Café.
The hotel is located just a few minutes from the train station making it easy to commute to for tourists.
Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge Spokeswoman said: “We wanted to celebrate the opening of our 595th hotel in the heart of Wimbledon by paying homage to a very British obsession, Wimbledon and tennis.
"In a UK first, we are the first budget hotel chain to offer guests a virtual tennis court at their disposal 24 hours a day regardless of the weather, so that they can enjoy a game of tennis.
"Also the hotel floors are a great talking point as we have named them after the nation’s favourite Wimbledon tennis legends.
"There is no doubt a stay at Wimbledon Central Travelodge is an advantage point for tennis fans.”
