Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV to gain 8 new features

The top-spec EL variant will get cruise control, ESP, Hill Hold Assist and TPMS.

Mahindra is set to introduce eight new features on the XUV400. According to a document, the top-spec ‘EL’ variant of the electric SUV will get several safety and convenience features.

In response to customer feedback, Mahindra is introducing features like cruise control, front fog lamps, boot lamps and a pair of tweeters on the XUV400. The EV will also get additional safety features like ESP, Hill Hold Assist, auto-dimming IRVM and TPMS.

Reports suggest that Mahindra plans to offer a panoramic sunroof across its XUV range. The XUV300 is likely to be the next SUV to get this feature, however, its electric version might also get it sometime in the future.

Under the bonnet, the XUV400 is powered by an electric motor that produces 148 BHP and 310 Nm. Mahindra is offering two battery options. The EC variant comes with a 34.5 kWh battery pack offering a range of 375 km (MIDC), while the EL variant packs a 39.4 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 456 km (MIDC).
